Both Stasis Fragments trigger by interacting with Stasis crystals, and depending on your Aspect/Fragment loadout you might not have many ways to generate them in your kit. Let’s face it: stasis crystals are an opportunity to generate more grenade energy with Whisper of Shards, or damage reduction with Whisper of Chains. Again, the range on the perk’s freeze isn’t great, so it’s not a reliable method of suppressing groups of enemies.īut let’s stop pretending that you’re not running a Stasis subclass while using a weapon with Headstone. Headstone also gives you the option to disengage against frozen enemies, offering a kind of crowd control Stasis is known for. Stasis weapons do increased damage to Stasis crystals, so destroying the crystal and inflicting shatter damage on nearby enemies is easy. If you can defeat an opponent at the center of a pack of enemies you’ll likely catch one or two of them in the freeze range. In a vacuum the Headstone perk is a bit like Dragonfly or Firefly with extra steps. ![]() The crystal size doesn’t appear to increase freeze range though, but it may impact other abilities. You’ll also only get a half-sized crystal for defeating most enemies, with majors and bosses generating taller crystals. ![]() The generated Stasis crystal can freeze nearby enemies, but the range isn’t great.
